Society´s interest in social and environmental performance is increasing worlwide. There is concensus on the idea that the generating of wealth for the society is one of the main factors of sustainability for any business. For Cilix, the social causes are part of it´s view and strategy. During the years of it´s activities, the company has been contributing in a consistent way towards the social and economical development of the regions where it acts, by generating taxes and creating jobs, buying and providing services, always prioritizing the local labourship. Besides that, the company also acts directly, through social programmes together with the community. Such activities are focused on the educational area and generating taxes, and aim on contributing for improvement of the life quality and self-sustainment of the community. Being a technology based company, Cilix has in mind that the investment survival depends on the Human Resources, attending that they always be available for the future of the company and of the country. The company has a constant capacitation programme for beginners in Information Technology (IT) at Maputo province, with modern class-rooms and pc´s(personal computers) for a free of charge teaching for those in need called Cilix Institute. Besides teaching the students in basic computing skills such as Internet & Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power-Point), Cilix realizes a real digital inclusion by using the personal computer in a proper way.
